More Halloween Crafts

These crafts are simple enough to do with your preschooler and will create a festive atmosphere in your house.

Egg Carton Spiders

Materials:

  • Egg cartoon
  • Googly eyes
  • Black marker/paint
  • Black pipe cleaners
  • White construction paper
  • Scissors

Cut out each egg cup from the egg carton.

Colour them black, using either marker or paint.

Make legs by bending 4 pipe cleaners in half and poking two per side through the inside of the egg cup.

Glue 2 googly eyes onto the front of each egg cup.

Cut out small white triangles for fangs and glue them on for a mouth.

Bend the spiders' legs slightly so that they can stand.

Batty Bats

Materials:

  • Toilet paper roles
  • Glue or tape
  • Construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Markers or crayons
  • Googly eyes & magnet discs (optional)

Cut out a rectangular piece of black construction paper. It should be as tall as the toilet paper roll and long enough to wrap around it.

Wrap it around the toilet paper roll and glue into place.

Next, cut out a mouth (with or without fangs) and eyes from another piece of construction paper. Use markers or crayons as needed to fill in the details.

Stand the toilet paper role on one end and glue the face towards the top.

Cut out small black triangles to make ears and glue them to the inside edge of the role, so that they stick out from the top.

Finally, draw wings onto black construction paper, cut them out and glue them to the back of the bat's body.

Option: Glue 2-3 magnet discs along the bat's back to turn your bat into a magnet.
