Daisy Flowers

Materials:

  • 4 small yogurt containers (kids' yogurts)
  • 2 pipe cleaners (cut different lengths to make 4)
  • 1 bead optional
  • Plastic pop bottle
  • Scissors

Flower:

Cut the square edge off top of the container

Cut slits about 1/4 " apart going down the side of the container but not all the way to the bottom. This makes the petals.

Cut each petal rounded at the edge.

Curl each petal by pinching it between your finger and a dull knife edge and pulling toward you.

Stem:

Make a small hole in the center of the flower and then pull a pipe cleaner through it.

Bend the end of the pipe cleaner inside the flower so that it can't come back through the flower.

(opt: a bead could be added and then fold the pipe cleaner over it)

Leaves:

Cut pieces out of a plastic pop bottle about 2 x 1"

Shape each piece into a leaf

Poke a hole at one end and put the pipe cleaner through it.
