The Biggest Eater in the Forest: Bear

A Crazy Quilt craft 

Materials:

  • Plastic bottled water bottle
  • Yogurt cup (175 ml)
  • Pom pom
  • Glue/tape
  • Construction paper
  • Pencil
  • Paint
  • 1 cup from egg carton
  • Marker
  • Googly eyes
  • Scissors

Paint water bottle and yogurt container and let dry.

Snout:

Glue pom pom to bottom of outside of egg carton cup.

Draw mouth on side of egg carton cup with marker.

Head:

Glue/tape open end of egg carton cup to yogurt cup, about half way down side, with mouth pointing to open end of yogurt cup.

Glue googly eyes on yogurt cup above snout.

Ears:

Cut small rectangle of construction paper and fold in half.

Cut rounded ear shape with straight bit near fold.

Unfold and cut in two.

Bend straight bit on each ear for flap.

Glue/tape flap of ear to each side of head so it sticks out.

Arms:

Cut two large rectangles from construction paper and place one on top of other draw rounded paw with triangular claws at end of rectangle.

Cut from sides of paper to start of paw and then cut around paw and claws (you'll end up with rectangle with paw at one end).

Roll up rectangle and tape to hold.

Put one arm in open end of cup (head) under each ear and tape so it is hanging down.

Glue/tape head over top of plastic bottle (body).

Cut big egg shape from construction paper and tape/glue to front of bottle for tummy.

Legs:

Cut two large rectangles from construction paper and place on top of one another.

Draw leg shape on rectangle and cut out.

Glue/tape one leg to each side of bottle (body) at bottom.
