Dragon

A craft from the Crazy Craft DVD Collection

Materials:

• Big sponge shaped like an 8
• 2 paper towel rolls
• Toilet paper roll
• Scissors
• Marker
• Little Styrofoam ball
• Drinking straw
• Glue
• Construction paper
• Elastic band
• Craft foam
• Tape

Cut sponge into big raindrop shape for body.

Cut slit in top (pointed end) of raindrop.

Squish ends of toilet paper roll together. On one end cut out rounded V shape leaving head and ears. The other end is the mouth.

Draw little upside down Vs in points of ears.

Glue Styrofoam ball halves to front of head for eyes and add stickers.

Glue two small pieces of drinking straw to front of face so they hang down slightly over mouth for nostrils.

Cut big rounded raindrop shape from construction paper and glue to front of body.

Cut two front arms and two back legs from craft foam.

Wrap elastic band around narrow sides of body.

Insert arms and legs under elastic.

Cut two feet with slits from craft foam and insert into back legs.

Cut out wings from construction paper.

Trace circle at bottom of paper towel roll on to centre of wings and cut out.

Fit wings over paper towel roll and push about 1/3 of way along roll.

Push winged paper towel roll through slit at top of body until it sticks out slightly in front. Wings should be at back of body.

Attach squished toilet roll mouth to protruding paper towel roll.

Cut slit about half way up second paper towel roll, overlap edges and tape.

Bend opposite end of roll and flatten end.

Put flattened end of roll under elastic band on bottom of body for tail.
