Elephant

A craft from the Crazy Crafts DVD Collection

Materials:

• Large box
• Construction paper
• 4 toilet paper rolls
• Glue
• Scissors
• Paint
• Paper towel roll
• Tape
• Marker
• Pencil
• 2 large pipe cleaners

Make tabs on end of toilet paper rolls by cutting slits.

Attach toilet paper rolls to bottom of box for legs.

Draw toes on bottom front of legs.

Cut paper towel roll so that it is not quite as tall as box.

Squish one end flat and tape to hold.

Tape flat end of paper towel roll to front of box at top for trunk.

Use marker to draw horizontal wrinkle lines on trunk and small eyes.

Use pencil to poke one hole on each side of trunk for tusks.

Stick one large pipe cleaner in each hole and bend up for tusks.

Cut two longer construction paper rectangles for ears

Fold over top corner of rectangles for flaps and glue to side of body.

Cut square from construction paper. Roll construction paper square around pencil, taping to hold. Remove pencil.

Cut slits in bottom edge of this paper tube to fringe.

Tape unfringed end to back of body for tail.
