Giraffe

A craft from the Crazy Crafts DVD Collection

Materials:

  • Paper towel roll
  • Construction paper
  • Toilet paper roll
  • Scissors
  • Buttons
  • Glue
  • Pencil
  • Cotton swab
  • Large pom pom
  • Box (1 litre juice box)
  • 4 popsicle sticks

Cut little slits all around bottom of paper towel roll neck to make tabs.

Bend these tabs out and up.

Cut one end of toilet paper roll at angle.

Glue two buttons eyes to toilet paper roll head

Cut two long pointy ears from construction paper, curl slightly on pencil and glue to head behind eyes.

For horns, cut cotton swab in half.

With pencil, poke two little holes in head between ears and stick cut ends of swab in holes.

Put large pom pom in uncut end of toilet paper roll for soft muzzle.

Attach cut end of toilet paper roll head to top of neck.

Glue two popsicle sticks to each side of box for legs.

Glue small rectangle of construction paper to large rectangle of construction paper.

Cut slits in bottom edge of this small rectangle to fringe.

Roll this paper around pencil, tape to hold and remove pencil.

Flatten top end of this tube and tape to back of body for tail.

Glue neck tabs neck to top of body at front.

Cut splotches of construction paper and glue all over giraffe.
