Leopard

A craft from the Crazy Crafts DVD Collection

Materials:

  • Box
  • Construction paper
  • Markers
  • Tape
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Popsicle
  • Stick
  • Styrofoam
  • Egg carton
  • Small pom pom
  • Glue

Cut section from Styrofoam egg carton to make head, leaving two little tabs of Styrofoam for ears.

Wrap box with construction paper leaving one end of paper sticking out beyond box.

Roll construction paper around pencil and tape to fasten. Remove pencil, repeat three times for legs.

Lay box on side and tape on legs.

Draw big orange/brown spots with three little darker spots around edge for leopard pattern.

Roll narrow rectangle of construction paper around pencil, tape to fasten, and remove pencil for tail.

Cut slits in one end to make fringe.

Flatten and curl slightly with popsicle stick.

Draw spots on tail.

Tape tail to back of leopard so it curves up.

Glue long tab of construction paper to back of head at top.

Outline edges of ears, draw eyes and nose.

Fit open back of head over open wrapping on box and tape in place using tab.
