Summer Medley Edible Art

Want a fun way to enjoy healthy fruits and veggies? It’s simple! Just play with your food.

What you’ll need:
  • toothpicks with two pointed ends
  • veggies normally eaten raw: broccoli florets, cauliflower, celery, bell pepper, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, carrots
  • or you can use fruits: strawberries, blueberries, grapes, orange chunks, apple chunks, pear wedges, pineapple, bananas, peach wedges

What to do:

Set the veggies or fruits on a table for the children to select from.
Let them skewer their choice onto toothpicks to make their own picture or sculpture.
Then, of course, eat your creations! You may be surprised at how many kids who normally refuse to eat veggies will chow down on their art!
