Favourite Rainy Day Activities

Candice Olson of W Network's Divine Design show shares two of her favourite activities to do with kids on rainy days.

I find the only thing that works to occupy my kids on a rainy day, is hands on, full contact crafting and baking. Play-Doh is king in our house. The kids love it! It's non-toxic if they happen to swallow it, it cleans up easily, and it helps to fuel their little imaginations!

My second favorite activity is baking. My daughter and I have spent many hours together perfecting the art of baking from a box. With only a little bit of effort, you have almost instant cupcakes or cakes. It's a family tradition that my mom started and that I wanted to continue with my own daughter! She loves participating in the whole process from measuring, to mixing, to pouring, baking and there is nothing better than the final pay off of taste testing! You would be surprised at how long you can occupy a rambunctious toddler for, by simply baking from a box.
