A Game of Kick Ball

Kick ball is a great game for larger groups when you have access to a baseball diamond or large field marked with your own bases and home plate.

All you need is a large rubber ball, a baseball diamond and 16 or more eager players!

Kickball is played much the same way as baseball. Divide players into two teams. One team takes the field first, the other kicks. The pitcher roles the ball to the first kicker, who kicks the ball and runs to first base (and beyond, if it's a good kick). If a fielder catches the ball in the air, the kicker is out. Otherwise, the fielder can get the kicker out by tagging them with the ball as they run between bases. Runs are scored each time a kicker successfully crosses home plate. Players take turns kicking and scoring runs until the fielding team makes three out.

Once the fielding team gets three out, it's their turn to kick. The game is over when each team has been up to kick seven times. The team with the most runs wins.

Note: Older players can also get a player out by successfully throwing the ball at the runner.
