Anyone That Does Like Tipi Tales?,

Not trying to be sarcastic, but just wondering if anyone out there does like this show. Personally I like it. Maybe it's because it's different from the rest of the shows. My hubby is part Metis as well. I've always like native oriented shows. Guess I'm one of the very very few that are ok with it

This show is a pointless show.Plus the characters do scare some kids as well. And they are rude.

honestly, I have mixed feelings about this show. While the characters may be slightly rude at times, or may come across as ill-mannered ou unbehaved, the concept of the show is very good. It teaches children about the native culture, but I think if they really wanted to attract a large number of viewers, they should have put more thought into thier characters...

Any show that features a Sasquatch that gives advice to kids is OK in my books.

I can't stand it to be quite honest with y'all! My son will not even look at the TV when it is on .... it's just so boring and cheesey! I think the exposure to other cultures is great for kids but it needs to be fun and interactive to catch their attention and maintain it. Puppets like that are just plain scary.

I think the show is great. I just think it's a disgrace that aboriginals only have one show on treehouse. They should add some more. The animals are also a great addition. My daughter loves the eagle!!

I think the idea is great, but the story lines need to be better. I remeber watching one, I dont remeber now which one, and I couldnt belive the message. they were singing some song back and forth and "its mine" or soemthing. and why is the boy wearing a belly shirt?

I personally don't like it, however my son does like it.

I do think the concept is good, however the puppets are pretty 'crude' in design. If it was a little updated (meaning, better puppets) I think it would come across a lot better.

Hi there, being an aboriginal (who grew up on the rez) I think this shows concept is great.....there is alot of misinterpetation of this, or lack of education on the Native culture, which to this day surprises me (hello, its 2006) the characters at first glance can be kinda scary (I thought so anyway) but when u give it a chance and watch it, you will appreciate all it has to offer. I hadn't watched it before i had son, then my husband found it on tv with son and watched it - he said they dance at the end of the show (grandpa's drum) and I thought that was awesome, since most first nations still keep thier traditional songs/dances alive to this day (i don't mean PowWows either) but all of the animal characters mean (stand for) something in our culture. I think there is a website for this show somewhere. The comment I read about the characters being rude - I can understand how they may come off as that, but we are a very laid back culture and we use alot of slang, and you can hear the accents - but its the gruffness (for lack of a better word) you hear, natives do not (and probably never will) speak proper english. (let alone, manners....that comes later on life usually haha) Thats just the way we are....english "should" not be our first language. If you can access APTN network, they actually have the Cree version of this show, which is interesting, (if u can speak Cree I guess ) ~Hayley

The marianettes creeped me out at first, but my son wasn't fazed by them. He was only about 9 months old when we first saw it. He likes the singing and drums. I like figuring out who's going to learn their lesson today.

I like how each of the kids has they're own personality and they behave the way kids do, for better or worse. They learn a lesson in the end. We've all got some of the personality flaws the kids have. I've learned a few lessons myself. My only complaint is that Junior is too perfect. He never does anything wrong.

I have only seen it a couple of times because my kids don't watch it. They say the people are too scary.
From what I saw, I like the concept of the show, but it could really use some work on charater representation. Make the charaters a little friendlier to look at.
It would be nice to see more shows like this that represent our "Canadian" heritage.

Good show, just needs a little work!
