Re: Toopy And Binoo, anyone else slightly confused?

It's just a show...do you always watch t.v that's educational?.  Why do new parents forget that they were kids once.  Some parents just find issues with everything. My daughter loves the show and I let her enjoy it.  You would be surprised, what these shows do help kids develop.  When I want to teach or educate my children.  I provide this and do not rely on a cartoon series.

It's just a show and I can assure you, our children are not questioning this.  You will have plenty of time to worry about bigger issues when they are older.  I do not think any gender is attached to them.  It's just a cute cartoon...see it through the eyes of a child.

    Take care.

Re: Toopy And Binoo, anyone else slightly confused?

My son points out all the things that Toopy & Binoo do wrong and tell me that they should go in time out.  For the baby peeing I told my son that with babies they are not potty trained like big boys and that throwing food on walls is bad but babies are still learning.  But for all the things they do wrong they have many good things...strong bond and Toopy even incorporates Binoos patchy-patch (fave toy).  My son has a wonderful imagination because of it and even tells me that I can't eat the play-doh pizza because it is just pretend and that if I did eat it I might get sick.  Toopy and Binoo is a wonderfully imaginative show.  We just need to sit with them for a few episodes and point out how silly these guys are and that they have wonderful imaginations full of possibility...plus the friendship of the 2 and how they would try to do anything to make each other feel better and Binoo letting Toopy get away with many more logical (Binoo knows things Toopy doesn't) things...My son is gentle, sweet, huggy and yes can be a "little monster" but with good explanations and praise when needed he LEARNS...if you only do right how does one learn...learn to find the right path, learn why it was a bad choice, just learn and see what behaviour is unexceptable....kids always test boundries and if you think it is going to stop here....do you remember what you were like as a *** or teen?!  More testing more outside influences and we as parents to guide them.  All in all you have to admit that it is a rather silly show that makes one laugh...laughter is always the best medicine and smiles are contageous!  Imagination is a wonderful thing...with out we would have not artists, no musicians, no colour, no life and with out that no passion.

I would love to be a kid again!
