As we are new to Canada, we will probably be sightseeing as much as possible, perhaps the African lion safari, trips to the zoo, picnics, parks, etc

 

A couple of weekends ago we went to Lake Huron, and spent the weekend on the coastline, the weather was glorious, and DD absolutely loved it, playing in the water and sand. We were also able to go to the Provincial park nearby, and enjoyed the walks.... so probably do more of that ...

We enjoyed both of those( recration villages) and are hoping to go  back some time.

Any-one know of things to do in the Eastern Townships/Montreal/Laval/Quebec and Ontario boarder areas?

I'm looking for things in the South-East area of Quebec mainly but am prepared to go North as far as Trois Riveres.

School finishes the end of this week. And the camp we normally use isn't opening this year.I'm hoping to get the girls into another day camp but registration isn't until next week.

DD2 had her end of year trip Mon/Tuesday.DD1 is away today and tomorrow( Wed/Thursday).

I really can't believe it's the holidays so soon.

There is about 11 days left here. We can't wait for the holidays to begin, it's going to be a great summer the dk's are excited. Dd 1 is excited she is starting swimming lessons.

2 weeks into the holidays.

I couldn't get the girls into camp, so I have to have them all time. This week though DD1 went to a zoo with one of her friends and went to a pool party at another friends house.

Thursday we went to the beach with DS's girl-friends( he plays with 3 sisters 5,4 and 18 months).

DH found the tourist Quebec site for me so I've some more ideas for outings.

We are supposed to be going strawberry picking on Saturday.

Due to lack of sun, the strawberries are not  ripe yet so we will have to wait for a few more days. The girls were upset about it but once it started to rain, they got over it.

We have begun summer holidays, the last two days have been so hot. The children have been playing in the sprinkler, and eating lots of popsicles.

I had my irrigation system set up at the end of May. So far I have only used it once but I have run a few loops for the children to allow them to play.

It was a bit cooler today. The dk's watched a parade today, they did crafts, saw clowns,and got their face painted. They had alot of fun today. Tonight we are going to watch the fireworks, they are excited. Happy Canada Day everyone!!

It has been raining the last couple of days and it's not stopping anytime soon. The dk's are bored of being inside. I hope the rain stops soon.

We finally seem to have summer. My weeds are growing well and I can send the kids outside. We have been to the beach several times now as well as playing in the sprinklers.

This summer has started out awful rain and more rain. In total we have had about a week of nice weather. It is raining again today and the dk's are inside.

We  seem to have 2 or 3 nice(non-raining) days at a time and then it starts again. At least the oldest 2 can entertain themselves without too much supervision and DS is at garderie 3 days a week.

They have been entertaining themselves, it's the summer holidays time to be outside and have fun. School is going to start soon, and they will be inside again. Earlier this year we bought bikes and we have been able to use then 3 times so far.
