They have been entertaining themselves, it's the summer holidays time to be outside and have fun.

Oh definatly. Outside is much much better

    nohotmeals:

School is going to start soon, and they will be inside again.

    41 days left.......Yes I'm counting(actually it's 40 and a half!)

    nohotmeals:

Earlier this year we bought bikes and we have been able to use then 3 times so far.

The roads round here aren't tarmac and the girls hate riding thier bikes on rough roads. There is nowhere for them to pracice nearby either Bikes are not allowed in the local parks and the roads are too dangerous for DD2.

We went to an international festival on the weekend, we got to try foods from different countries. The dk's loved tasting the food from various different countries, we also watched them dance. It was alot of fun.

We have a multicultural festival coming up next week-end. It's not very big but we enjoyed it last year and we are hoping the weather will be better than it has been so far this summer!

Last  year when we went to the festival all it did was rain. This year we were lucky the weather was nice. The last two weeks the weather has been great, however they are calling for rain again.

I don't think we have had a week when it hasn't rained. The current long term forecast is rain, some thunderstorms and maybe some sunny intervals.

    Mne go back then too.

The weather is slowly getting bettter so we are gettting out more.

We went to the local multi-culyuaral fair early on Sunday. There was hardly anyone there. The kids went on a acrobatic trampoline. I thought it would frightened DS but he had a great time. We wondered around, the kids went on the bouncy castles and back on thee trampoline before we ate.

LAst year the foos was a disappintment. An Americanised curry( ie no taste!) or grilled sausages. This year the grill was Caribbean style chicken. There was also a stall selling various Mexical style foods and the local bison farm had a stand too.. There was also corn on the cob.

This year instead of Molson there was beer from the local micro-brewery and one of the local farms had a stand of thier apple wines and spirits.

Some of the farms in my area have an open door day coming up soon (7th Sept). We went last year, the kids loved it esp DS who got to sit on tractors and other stuff like that.

We are going again this year. I"m going to plan it proerly this time.A couple were fruit farms which had no fruit and we had to listen to a lecture about friut- farming. No very exciting!

We went to the farmers market yesterday, we bought some fruit and vegetables. It was really hot yesterday, so the dk's also got to play under the sprinkler.

We are on our last week of holidays now.

Had to drive into Montreal to pick up the girls uniformes. That was great, not only do I hate driving ther but every 2 seconds " Are we there yet?", "When will we be there?"and all varients there-of.

We then had to wait , not too long though I was only picking up an order. Some of it was missing and will be sent on to the school as I'm not the only one affected.

We are going out to get all thier stationary today.

Then we are tiding bed-rooms and generally getting ready for school.

We are on our last week here too. The summer went by way too fast, and the weather wasn't that great. We picked up dd's school supplies and we bought some new clothes for school, none of her stuff fits her anymore from last year. She has grown so much over the summer.
