Thats what I have done too. I have thought about time outs. But I can see it being a fight. Although nothing else seems to be working I will give it a try.

my son was well disiplined by 15 months. I am not sure what I feel of the word punish, I am more about being firm with saying no and then finding a 'yes' solution. so "no you can't touch mommy's picture, but here you can look at this picture book" and I was liek that with son since he started crawling. I never moved a single item in my home and he knows what to touch and what not to touch. (my home was never set up in any way that would be dangerous)

as far as throwing things I woudl take the items away and take the childaway to their room for a time out. Always remember that once its over you have to change the mood. after the child comes back and plays with something nicely be sure to offer tons of praise and attention and say how happy you are to see them playing nicely "oh i like how you are playing gentley with your cars. good job (child's name here)" and give hugs and kisses and stuff. Children want attention. They do not care if the attention is positive or negative. but when they see tons of positive attention they will act out alot less

Hey laundrygoddess!!! Sorry to hear about your bad weekend, I can guess why and I am thinking about ya!!!! As for the sleep thing, My 14 month old guy changed over really well, I just put him to bed later and gave him a later nap. Worked like a charm. Maybe just give it a bit more time and it will work out!!!

As for me, I ahd a good weekend!! I went curling on friday and our team "blew away" the other team. The wife worked all weekend so it was me doing all the cooking, cleaning, kid raising and such. But we had a greta time. My 3 yr old daughter is doing really well at helping daddy. She always wants to help me do things. Anyways I'm rambling on, how was your weekend????

laundrygodess try often kids sleep worse when they do not get enough sleep in the day. how old is your baby? Over 6 months old you may want to try a crying it out period. If you child is going through a growth spurt she may need more food before bedtime.

my weekend was all about decorating. trying to finsh off the last touches in the living room. and get things ready to start the kitchen next week

    Hello all

I am sorry laundrygoddess that you didn't have a good weekend . I also don't have any advice on sleeping. I am in Ontario and took advantage of the time change to get Mason to bed at 8:30 instead of 9. So far so good but I have found that we are now waking up at 6am. I used to get to sleep in until almost 8. So I dont know whats better the early to bed or getting to sleep in. I did have to cut Masons nap down by a half hour in the afternoon (I always had to wake him up before or he would sleep for 5 hours and not go to bed at night). That may be worth a try.

As for my weekend, I had a bad one. I was on the couch all weekend with a cold as watched Tornado Mason tore up my living room. My hubby was busy most of the weekend. When he was here and was free, Mason was sleeping so he was no help at all.

I have a question for you Moms and Dads that have gone through potty training. Twice now we have caught Mason without a diaper on pooping on the floor . He 21 months and has not yet said any words other than Mama and dada and shake his head no. So he has not givin us any indication that he is ready to try the potty. I can tell when he is doing his business so I could get him on the potty but should I try? Or just get carpet cleaner cause he has just learned something new.

Thanks Laundrygoddess. Thats what I was thinking but I thought I would ask someone with experience. I guess its my fault for letting him walk around the house with no pants on

I had a bad weekend too!! I got hit in the mouth n cracked two of my morals down to the root! and my stupied dentesit is away on vaccation until the end of the month. the next closest dentist is 1:30hr drive n its guna cost me 95$ to get in since im not their patetn >.<

my doc told me to take me T3's for the pain, but I HATE them. I hate the feeling of being doped up n they knock me out cold. I did have to take one on the weekend, but my hubby was home and looked after emily. RIght now Motrin Super Stre is working! the numb the pain and they dont knock me on my be-hind!
Stay at Home Mommy of two lil ones.

Always thinking about laundry eh goddess??? LOL

Well, My son used to take his pants off then his diaper and pee or (heaven forbid) poop on the floor. After poop # 2 I was done and decided to put him in diaper vests. HAHAHAHA he cant get those buttons undone!!!!! I am victorious!!!

So needless to say he doesnt poop on the floor, He's onyl 14 months old but very clever, I think his sister helps him with it....(co-conspiritor) anyways you may want to try diaper vests, they work for me!!!
