Masonsmommy, I am glad to hear you had a good appointment. Regardless if the diagnosis was correct, you know him better than anyone, and if that doctor was not going out of her way to socialize with him, like the social worker, than she probably isn't right for him. I am sure he did well with your at home app. because she made something of him. She tried to play, and kids just know when someone is geuinely nice or not. I hope you find a doctor who can also be a friend, I feel that is important. Autism can be a scary thought, but you can work through it and he can have a great life, if that is what he has. He just needs patient and supportive people in his life, and it sounds like he does.

I will bwe dressing Maggie up for Hallowween and taking her out for treats. She is only two, but has a 12 yr old sis, and 9 yr old bro, so she is much older than she should be, and would not be pleased if she didn't take part in the event. We get almost no kids at the door so trick-or-treating is a family event for us. My husband and I don't like missing out on watching the kids, so we all go. We are huge kids at heart as well. I must admit, christmas is my absolute favorite though! Can't wait!!! I loved it as a kid, but now as a parent, I love the chaos, and the responsilbilty and rewarding outcome of knowing you have just made your childs whole year. When you think about it, that is usually the fondest memories, and as a parent, we get to make them and live them. I love christmas eve the most...to feel the excitement in the kids, and we have a huge family gsthering at my best friends house every year. Santa visits and we play guitars and sing carols, and then head off to church....LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!

Enough of that...LOL! HAve a great day, all~

I had one very elderly lady hold out a bag. I will not give to the adults this year, but it kind of caught me off guard last year. The teenagers, yeah, you don't know if they'll retaliate if you don't give them anything. We only got a couple, anyway. If they make an effort at a costume and seem to be having fun with the whole occasion, then I don't mind. Teenagers grow up too fast as it is.

I sort of got some Christmas shopping done. I ordered Backyardigans dvd's from eBay and decided not to give them to Sage yet, so they'll be for Christmas, and I have Tasha and Austin beanies ordered, too, that I think I will keep them as gifts, too (when they get here - it's taking a long time).

Anyway, not much new with me.

    Hope you're all well!

I've decided that I'm talking to family and friends this year about just buying gifts for the kids. It becomes a spending nightmare!! I usually start early and buy whenever I see something, but it just gets out of control and as an adult, I don't really care about the gifts so much...so I hope everyone goes for it!!

    Good afternoon everyone.

I was just reading through some of these posts and can't believe we are talking about Christmas . Christmas is not even a thought for me. But I also don't get a lot for Mason at christmas time. Maybe 3 or 4 things. He has a lot of family and they go over board with things (last year there was 3 boxes sent from family in Newfoundland) so I just get a few things from Santa and the rest comes from the family. Probably will change in the next few years.

I was also reading about Halloween. Mason last year was a wizard and really enjoyed trick or treating. No idea what he is going to be for halloween this year but I think he can pick his own this time.

Mason is doing great. He is talking a lot more over the weekend. He now is saying please when he wants some water in his cup (no prompting). And is more open to playing with me. He takes me by the hand and leads me where he wants to play. Unfortunatly I think he no longer needs his naps. I am going to miss them lol.

Not much new with me. Allergies starting to drive me crazy . Hope everyone is doing well

StaceyT we only buy for the kids in the family too (shhh i buy my mommy something for christmas and not tell anyone xD) jay has three sibings and 2 nefews and 2 neices -.- (i guess his oldest sis doesnt kno about birth control) she was pissed when we didnt get her anything the past two years. We've said that once u hit 18 no more gifts. If jay wants to go buy his momo n dad or sis something i dont really care cuz we dont have that many to buy for yet, but im not doing it.

I dont go over board with emily, well not to the piint of bankrup or anything, Emilys first chrismas i only bought her two things, but last year was a few more, and this year she'll get a few more since Aelx is only getting a couple of toys.

Finally I made it back here. I hope everyone is doing well. Masonmommy best of luck with everything that's going on with you at the moment.

I haven't read all the posts since the last time I was here but I did read we're talking about Halloween and Christmas. I need to find a costume for Emily this year. I didn't take her out last year cause it was cold and rainy and she was only 3-1/2 months old. Plus she didn't like her costume. I only got one pic of her and she was crying no screaming! Not many people near me give out candy so I'm not sure where we'll go this year.

As for Christmas I'm all for bargins. If I can find it early I'll store it for a year. It's getting to the point it costs so much. I have 9 kids to buy for including Emily and they range in ages from 1-11. It's getting hard to buy for the older kids cause they're getting picky with clothes and everything. For the adults we drew names one year and then last year we just bought for the kids and my parents. It'll probably be that way again this year.

Have a get together tomorrow with friends and then an heading to the states for a few days. Hopefully we'll have nice weather and a good time.

Other than that things are pretty quiet here. Emily's keeping me busy since she started walking. Better go she has a fasination with the computer and buttons don't need her to turn the computer off on me. It took me long enough to be able to post anything.

Hey! I'm finally able to post again!

I've been looking for Sage's costume, too. There are cute Tom Arma ones on ebay. I love the skunk! If I win the auction, that is what Sage will be. Otherwise, I will check at Wal-Mart and Toys R Us. I only bid 6.00, so I probably won't win the auction. LOL

We had a beautiful weekend in jasper last week. We stayed at a cabin in Hinton. It was nice to just be able to do stuff at our own pace.

Anyway, really not much else to tell here. I'm bored, as usual!

What I need is a time machine...I think that would help me stuff in the 36 hours a day I apparently need to get everything done.....

Hey! I was just checking to see if I could post again! I think the trick is to sign out before signing back in to post. At least, that's what I did this time. I'm not sure if it will work again.

Everyone give it a try. It would be nice to resume our "conversation"!
