Masonsmommy, I am glad to hear you had a good appointment. Regardless if the diagnosis was correct, you know him better than anyone, and if that doctor was not going out of her way to socialize with him, like the social worker, than she probably isn't right for him. I am sure he did well with your at home app. because she made something of him. She tried to play, and kids just know when someone is geuinely nice or not. I hope you find a doctor who can also be a friend, I feel that is important. Autism can be a scary thought, but you can work through it and he can have a great life, if that is what he has. He just needs patient and supportive people in his life, and it sounds like he does.
I will bwe dressing Maggie up for Hallowween and taking her out for treats. She is only two, but has a 12 yr old sis, and 9 yr old bro, so she is much older than she should be, and would not be pleased if she didn't take part in the event. We get almost no kids at the door so trick-or-treating is a family event for us. My husband and I don't like missing out on watching the kids, so we all go. We are huge kids at heart as well. I must admit, christmas is my absolute favorite though! Can't wait!!! I loved it as a kid, but now as a parent, I love the chaos, and the responsilbilty and rewarding outcome of knowing you have just made your childs whole year. When you think about it, that is usually the fondest memories, and as a parent, we get to make them and live them. I love christmas eve the most...to feel the excitement in the kids, and we have a huge family gsthering at my best friends house every year. Santa visits and we play guitars and sing carols, and then head off to church....LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!
Enough of that...LOL! HAve a great day, all~
