Girls And Dolls, What ages do girls stop playing with dol

I was wondering at what ages girls stop playing with dolls. I was never a big player with doll, althoiugh my Barbie lived a highly adventerous life , sword-fighter and space explorer by day ,mad scientist by night.

DD1 will be 10 in April. She only really plays if her sister (6) wants to. So when will she stop?

I stopped when I was 12, my oldest is 13 and onlt began to get interested around age 10. I wouldn't be concerned, it is a maternal thing, and some of them love being mommy...so they'll play dolls a little longer :) I say, why make them grow up faster than necesary!

DD1 never played Mummy with dolls. She's got a younger sister and brother for that. She has always been helpful. There have been times when DS would go to her for comfort rather than me.

Again I think it depends on the child. I think I stopped when I was about 8/9 yrs old, and I have heard of other children stopping around that age range. My neice is 14 and plays when her younger sis (8yrs) wants to...

Hey! My daughter is just starting to play with dolls. Well, actually it's not a doll. Its  the plush Uppsy Daisey from In The Night Garden!! Oh my, she is THE perfect mother to Daisey!!I Gave her younger brother tylenol the other day,  Daisey needed some too.I checked his temp she also checked Daisey's temp. It just goes on and on. She never got into dolls at all until now. I was wondering when she'd start to do the motherly thing though. I guess they start at the age of four. I'll let ya know when they stop some other time. As all I know is when they START!! Sorry

My dd is 9 and she still likes to play with her barbies once in a while.  She's not into baby dolls any longer.  I would say that some girls probably like to play with dolls/barbies until the age of 11-12.
    Have a great day!!!
