Perhaps Vaseline will help. I always found putting some on after every nappy change regardless of a rash helped to keep any moisture away from the skin and prevented rashes from occuring.

We used Zincofax, everytime dd had a diaper rash it worked great.

Bit of a moot point really, for us, as he's out of diapers totally now.

I used to be such a sweet sweet thing
Till they gotta hold of me.
