I am extremely disappointed as well, especially with Max and Ruby coming off totally on weeknights - just as they did with Dora!!!  And Max and Ruby is not on any other stations here.  Dora is extremely popular with the children and shows like Max and Ruby, Franklin and Little Bear are educational as well.

OK, a few other things I want to say about this.  First off I believe Max and Ruby and Franklin and Little Bear are all Canadian shows.  Correct me if I am wrong but Nick Jr apparently is showing Max and Ruby in way more time slots and Nick Jr is an american station that I can't get!!!

Also what ever happened to putting a new show on during a weekend time slot instead of just putting it on the regular schedule??? If they had not just gone and upset all the toddler's schedules but slowly integrated some of the new shows - parents could tell treehouse what shows toddlers enjoyed.  Like what I am gathering is that My Friend Rabbit is one the kids like.  And the Wiggles is a popular show just maybe put in a better time slot - say 6:30PM?

I am going to see about starting a petition and if I can post a link on here.  Also, I wrote to the contact us address and it appears to be a form response.  If Treehouse producers and whatnot are reading these posts I would like to see them reply!!!

    Hi All,

Although I am disappointed with some of the changes (Dora, Diego, Timothy goes to School) I am thrilled that Treehouse has put In the Night Garden on.

This show is getting a bad rap because I don't think it's being promoted properly and is therefore misunderstood.  This show was created for the sole purpose of winding children down for bedtime and to give parents an additional tool for their bedtime routines. The creators have openly stated that this show was not made to be educational.

This show is incredibly popular in the UK, and when the first season came to an end, the BBC was overwhelmed with requests to put it back on the air because it had become an integral part of their bedtime routine.  That's why this show is on six nights a week at the exact same time.  I do disagree with putting the Wiggles on after however, as it defeats the whole purpose of In The Night Garden. Thankfully there is a buffer of the Mole Sisters.

When I first started watching Treehouse with my daughter, I wasn't impressed with a number of shows. However, my daughter likes the majority of them and they are made for her - not me.  As I got to know the shows, I can now see merits of several that I originally disliked.

Please give the new shows a chance and perhaps more importantly, please watch them in the proper context.  Sorry for the long post!!!

hey guys, i totally agree to the new show content. my daughter is on a routne and LOVES dora and toopy and binoo. man, i can begin to tell you how hard it is to tell a two year old that her shows aren't on when the are supposed to. i understand that in the entertainment business you have to purchuse programs from places like nickalodean and other suppliers and have to pay each time they air, but to drop dora for british programing and other low budget programs leaves a bad taste in alot of peoples mouths. treehouse wouldn't get changed on our tv from 5 to 8. it even helped my baby learn to count, but now i find we have to switch to 'know tv' to watch dora and her other fav's at about the same time that she's used to. maybe the switch works with adult who understand these things but if any treehouse exceutive could please explain where dora is to my two year old better than me, please write back...sorry treehouse..bad move you have a very sad 2yr. old here....

I have to agree that some of the good shows are not enough for the kids, but I do want to say  ... My son LOVES the Wiggles!!  He is so happy they are on.  He is only 2 1/2, and he loves them, so I don't care what you do with the other shows just don't take away the Wiggles!!!!

I am also very disgusted with the new shows especially with in the night garden it is identical to tele tubbies and it is teaches our kids not to talk it is teaching them to gibber jabber more instead of using words and also that it is telling our kids that kissing other boys is ok because my little girl ask me if she can kiss her friend that is a boy and i am not fine with that!!!  My little girl just loves Dora, Diego, Timothy and Blues Clues she is learning 2 languages thats is great but now she never gets to see them anymore. I don't have any problem with change but when you guys go to the extreme of putting shows on that is not teaching our kids nothing and i hope with all these complaints that you guys as a network will rethink about putting shows on that is not teaching kids nothing but gibber jabber and kissing. You have a lot of great shows its to bad that you have taken them away from the kids
    Thanks

I have to agree with everyone!  I hope to god the programmers of treehouse tv look at all these messages, otherwise we're just complaining to each other.  (I have also sent a message directly to treehouse and recommend everyone do that.  That way we can be sure our concerns are heard.)
My question would be, does all these changes have anything to do with the writers strike?  Why in the world would they introduce so many new shows at the same time?  New shows and a new schedule...what?  We all know our toddlers like routine.  Isn't that what we've learned right from birth.  Tv is not everything, and is not the only way my son learns, but we all have a little tv time.  If my 14 month old son is going to watch tv, then I want educational shows.  I never had to worry about treehouse, but now, I have to sit and what these new shows and have determined they are ridiculous.  We have now found other channels and programs that are more age appropriate and bedtime material.
PLEASE treehouse....listen to all of us mothers....."Mother knows best!"

I definitely agree that I hope Treehouse reads these posts, would be nice if they would write a reply to let us know they are reading!!!  But I can guarantee they will be getting a copy of the petition that I created.  I forgot about Blue's Clues that is an excellent show and would like to see that brought back.  I created the petition for the people in this forum and all treehouse viewers so please feel free to put your input on there!!!

I agree with all the comments about the new treehouse programming. The shows are very bad and the kids dont like them! I hope that treehouse changes this sooner than later. I realise the campaign that went into introducing the new shows but kids dont realise it! They want regular programming at regular times.  We, as parents, all understand the importance of limiting television interaction but there are certain times of the day we could rely on treehouse and now that those are gone we barely tune in!
Also the programming from 6-7 am is terrible. Kids get up at this time of day and the (B)Vittles are horrible. Thanks for listening and heres to changing treeehouse back!!!

I will agree with you 100% The night garden show is foolish!!! I don't allow tele tubbies in my home and I will not allow night garden in my home. We want our kids to speak like people and not just moan and groan like funny looking characters. Dora ,Diego and Backyardigans are big hits in my home. My children are only allowed 1hour of TV per day and now I don't even know when their shows are on anymore. These new shows are pretty foolish and I don't feel that a few of them should even be on televsion!!

My kids will get there one hour of GOOD shows and well all I can say is at least the still sell DVD'S of the PROPER shows.

    sincerely
angry mom (at least with the shows)

Disappointed with new shows and times

    I completely agree!!!!

I do not allow my almost 3 year old and and 18 month old watch the new shows that were just introduced on February 27th.
I am very disappointed that someone has allowed such shows to be put on Treehouse.  In the Night Garden is exactly
like the Tele-tubbies, which teaches children to baby talk and is not something any mom would want their child to be watching.
That is the main reason why I do not even turn treehouse on in my home anymore.  The other new shows that
I won't let my children watch are:

    Fifi and the Flowertots
    Ni Hao Kai-lan
    Yo Gabba Gabba

I do like the Wiggles, they are great for teaching my children about music and they actually learn something from this show.
I really would like to see Dora the Explorer and Diego back in the regular weekly programming.  I know Diego is on somedays
in the afternoons, but that is right during nap time.
I have talked to many other mom's who feel the same way and have stopped turning Treehouse on because of the new shows.
I don't know if whoever is in charge of the schedule will do something about this, but as long as it is known that
there are many unhappy parents right now.

I'm curious to understand why you like both Dora and Diego but don't want to watch their Chinese stablemate.
I used to be such a sweet sweet thing
