Why would you replace quality programming with crap like Yo Gabba Gabba and In the Night Garden (just to name a few).

 

My 20 month old son and I are very disappointed with the new shows. In fact, he started crying when In the Night Garden was on - it was terrifying for him.  What are those silly looking characters who just make stupid noises? What exactly will this teach these young, very impressionable minds? 

 

Backyardigans, Dora, Diego, Blues Clues/Room, Little Bear and Miffy were all shows that were very educational and interersting; children were able to interact with these shows.  Replacing these shows with the new ones was a step in the wrong direction.  We rarely ever have Treehouse TV on anymore because of the new programs.

I agree completely!  I am writing on every single message board so that maybe the programmers will get just how upset we mothers are! 

 

My son is 4 and my daughter is 8 months old.  The old programming used to be considered appropriate and somewhat educational.  I very rarely have Treehouse on any more.  I have heard some parents complain about the nighttime scheduling.  Admittedly, we don't watch TV at night so much as during the day between picking up kids, dropping kids, and playing outside.  We got so that we knew when Backyardigans and Diego were on - my daughter also loves Comfy Couch.  Now we can never tell when anything is on and I completely agree with another comment I've read that these new shows are an insult to our childrens' intelligence!  There was a reason Teletubbies were canceled - get rid of In the Night Garden, or whatever it's called! 

 

I truly hope you listen to everyone's concerns...you might notice a jump in your site memberships - I for one specifically joined just to comment on the new programming.

 

I have to agree with everyone on this topic, we all have very impressionable kids that are quite intelligent. Some of these new shows that have been aired are just absolutely unintelligent. In the night garden, I think has to be the most rediculous show for any child to watch. There is nothing to learn on this show unless you want to know how to make funny sounds. The Teletubbies and Boo Bahs were cancelled for a reason, why do these television companies allow this kind of televised rubbish on the air. I don't know if the executives at Treehouse actually read these posts, but if they do, I think they should really step back and reassess this program and wether or not this should be allowed to remain on air. My 4 year olds intelligence is beyond this show and I believe that I am not the only one that thinks this. My son won't be watching as much of Treehouse as he has in the past thats for sure.

 

Heres hoping things change...

Treehouse has become increasingly disappointing. Our son is just under 2 and used to love to watch Treehouse. I would just leave it on the channel all day long for him. After my husband and I have taken the time to sit with him and watch some of the new shows on now, we spend more time censoring what he is watching than we do actually watching shows.

Dora, Diego, Backyardigans, Rolie Polie, Blues.... they were all interactive shows that stimulated our child. We are seriously beginning to question why we are paying extra every month to our cable provider to keep this channel on our television.

Yes, Blues Clues is another show that was a really good one.  I remember being at the play centre and the kids singing playing with the mailbox "we just got a letter.. wonder who its from" - anything that interests them and gets them to learn things like that are great!!!

Why would TreeHouse Put on crappy shows like yo GABBA GABBA? in the night garden why would they take off dora and put it on only once a week these shows are who knows my daughter cries at the site of the guy please listen people who work for treehouse nothing was wrong with the other shows

 

 

I couldn't agree more.  Where is Dora????  Vacation????  My 4 year old is soo dissapointed.  She used to watch it while we made supper.  She isn't enjoying these new shows either.

Please listen and return Dora to a daily time slot...
