I urge Treehouse to please keep ITNG on its schedule.
As many of the parents who have written, I used to dislike the show - thought it was strange, the characters weird and the 'stories' repetitive. I have since changed my mind after realizing how much my 13 months old enjoys watching the show as part of her bedtime routine. She loves Iggle Piggle, hums along to the music and smiles as the various characters interact. Considering that ITNG products - books, CDs, dolls, etc. - are about to hit the Canadian market, she's obviously not the only infant enjoying the program!
I don't quite comprehend the rationale behind making the Tombliboos drop their pants at least once per show or why the Makka Pakka likes to sponge the others, but that's okay as the show is not designed for adults or older kids. The show was developed with the needs of infants and toddlers in mind.
And to those parents who want your child to watch a show where he/she can learn to count, read or speak another language before bed, perhaps you should spend a bit more one on one time and do the teaching yourself instead of relying on the tv!
