No I don't agree!  Just because you and your children don't enjoy the show doesn't mean that other children shouldn't be given the chance to enjoy it!  My daughter laughs at the show and I don't want to take that away from her!  This show is already on so late that I tape it for her.  If you don't want your children to be watching this show well.......the channel can be changed.  It's not fair to punish other parents and children who like the show.

I so agree to get rid of In the Night Garden - what's up with the passing gas noises??? What is that all about also why do they kiss so much??? I'm not happy with that show at all!

Where there's groups of children, they kiss and hug each other. DS's day-care is full of 6 month-nearly 6 yo who hug and kiss each other. It's not a big deal...

As for the noises...children like funny noises and especially rude ones!

My daughter absolutly loves this show.  DO NOT get rid of it. It's a cute show. She loves all the characters and gets excited when they brush their teeth (she loves brushing her own) :D

I will be the first to agree that it is an odd show but ironically it calms my child and he enjoys it and the characters. All shows will have something that bothers you; it's up to you as a parent to instill the values and manners you wish to see in your child.

You don't like the kissing and hugging; show your child an alterative to express those emotions.

Actually, I have to disagree there.

My daughter would not go to sleep until she started watching this show. Children, just like adults, need beta time. This was the perfect show for her to wind down and understand that everyone's going to bed therefore, her turn was next.

She no longer watches the show as she's grown less interested however, I don't agree that this should be taken off the air.

Shows like Yo Gabba Gabba who have characters speaking to kids like they are idiots are more my concern. Franklin is rather whiny and annoying and now they've brought on Caillou who is just about the most evil representation of children out there.

I agree with you.  They should also get rid of The big Comfy Couch.  What does the 10 second tidy teach a kid, that it is ok to put toys away under the couch.

My DH used to hate In The Night Garden, but my son has loved it since he first saw it and it has grown on us.
He now comes running into the room when he hears it come on and sits down on the couch with me and we cuddle for the whole show.
Then it's bath time, read a book and go to bed.  It's the perfect wind down show,  most of my friends with children feel the same way.

My mom was the first person to even notice the silly fart noises.

I disagree. My daughter loves this show. And its also one of the only times a day where i get to sit down and just relax with her because its one of the only thing she actually sits still for. Not everything needs to be educational, some things can just be entertainment.

I personally think Franklin is a great show and has a lovely art style.

I'm not such a big fan of caillou though.
