This. I think there are other shows that should be taken off, but I have enough on my hands to worry about than a tv channel. I don't really let my son watch too much tv anyway. He should be learning from me, not tv.

This show is fantastic. My 2 yr old absolutely loves it. She gets up and participates. The use of colours, actions, characters, and song is entrancing and creative. She has no time for Little Bear or Franklin or any of those other unimaginative shows. In fact, it's another example of how good the BBC makes children's shows compared with the rubbish served up in North America.

While at first it appears similar to Teletubbies it in fact is very different once you've actually watched it.

Please leave this show on around bedtime-ish as it's very good there.

Perhaps some of the detractors are right after all and Treehouse should replace In the Night Garden with a more educational program, e.g. one that would teach basic grammar to children AND parents!!

I liked that statement too.  I agree that there are many more important issues in this world that people could be arguing abou

I will be the first to admit, I'm not a fan of In the night Garden myself, there is other shows i would much rather have on. As of mother of 2 my children LOVE that show and it does help them calm down before bed, and my son will play with his in the night garden toys and re-inact  scenes from it.  I love the time that it comes on i think it's perfect, my 2 year old knows it's bed time when its over. My children don't like little bear, it all comes down to  what the children like and all the kids are different, you can't please them all. For the parents that are complaining, i hope your not keeping treehouse on for your own enjoyment, take the time to read a book with your children or find a more productive thing to do with your kids then to sit in front of the tv, if your not happy with in the night garden. We all watched shows when we were kids that we would find stupid now.  I'm not saying this to be mean, of all the young toddlers i know it is a very popular shows as much as most parents wish it wasn't!

I completely dissagree, this show teaches the kids of value if bed time, whenever my daughter watches it she dances along while they sing and cuddles with me when its time for the In the night garden characters go to bed, it is a great show for my daughter and I think she would be quite upset if she couldnt go to sleep with the in the night garden characters

i agree my 18 month old loves this show. no matter what she is doing as soon as she hears the song she comes running to watch. i think it does have some educational features. they count, they teach up and down, top and bottom etc.
my daughter loves the characters, she dances with them. it don't have to make sense to us as long as your child enjoys it, if your child don't,turn the channel.

Good Lord. This show is loved by younger toddlers while older toddlers find it "meh". It's normal, people! My daughter (4 years old) used to love it when she was two, now she couldn't care less about it. Now she's into Angelina Ballerina, Franklin, Little Bear... although she used to hate them two years ago. It's all about the age the child has, so if your child doesn't like it, it doesn't mean that it should be taken off Treehouse. It's like asking stores to stop selling certain food you don't like, just because you don't like them although the food is otherwise considered healthy.

    Well said.

When the show first came on DS( then 3 ) loved it. And as he grew older and the novelty gave way to wanting to play  or bath before bed. Now at 5 , he never bothers with the show.

As fot it detering language and vocabulary, DS was and still is bilingual. Never once did the show cause hime to lose command of either language.

No way!! I love in the night Garden and so does my son. This is the only show he actually watches.  Everyone is obviously going to have different opinions and blogging won't cancel it, the sales are too high on all of the products and DVDs!
