    Re: 4 SQUARE

We just asked at this small store in the mall (Music Plus) if they could order the DVD for us.  Most stores that sell DVD's will order anything if you ask.  I know bigger stores like
HMV will order too if you ask.  You can even call the store to order.  They'll call you when your order arrives.

okay, honestly this is going to make me seem odd i'm sure, but my (almost) 22 month old daughter loves 4 square, and so do i LOL
she loves the beat team, but especially love the ballet folks.
the team of captain huppette, bianca, metitto, and rufus especially.  hilarious
rufus' grin is just so ridiculous, i think this guy needs to get his own show.
the episode where they "Spin" and huppette says "rufus, spin the head" i almost died laughing.
i had to rewind it on the PVR and record it, thank goodness for digital satellite!
    hilarious
    just thought i'd mention that.

my daughter (and i, and my wife also) don't much care for the 2nd team.  i think our daughter isn't as interested because there's no music, and they're not quite as enthousiastic (with crankovich, captain hup and the others).
rufus needs his own show, or at least put more of them on tv!

Anyone know the exact lyrics to the hups skit?  Here's what I can figure, from seeing it a billion times with the kids:)

    Start:
Oh my friends are you there? (ole)
Oh my friends are you there? (hep hey)
Oh my friends are you ready, to move and grove and hep hep heppity hop, heppity heppity hop
Hepnee ho ho holy olee ho ho ho
Hepnee ho ho holy olee olee olee oh
Hepnee ho ho holy olee ho ho ho
Hepnee ho ho holy olee oh......
    (Attention..... roll call..... etc.)

    End:
    Hippity hippity hippity hop
    Hooplah hooplah hoop hoop
    Hippity hippity hippity hop
    Hooplah hepnee ho
    Hippity hippity hippity hop
    Hooplah hooplah hoop hoop
    Hippity hippity hippity hop
    Hooplah hepnee ho
    Hooplah hepnee ho
    Hooplah hepnee ho........

My 8 3/4 month old just adores this show and has been watching it for a couple months now!  I scrambed to find some DVD's just so when he is upset I can put it on for him. He just adores every segment and has a huge grin on his face before the dvd even starts because he knows what is coming!  I would love to get rid of the dinasaur segments and for 4 squares to replace that!  I am not a huge fan of letting my son watch TV as a babysitter but he likes the show and it makes him happy.  He will play with his toys and me while it's playing....if I turn it off he notices immediatly and gets fussy.  So, we can play together for a long time with that in the background.  He glances back and forth at it and laughs and smiles!  Makes him AND Mommy happy!

4 Square is the best show on tree house. Its the only one my 8 month old will stop and watch. I think we need MORE 4 SQUARE.
In fact if they did a live show we would go see it.

    Re: 4 SQUARE

So glad i joined here. 4 Square is the only show my now 11 month old daughter will sit and watch (in addition to her going nuts in excitement when it comes on) At 7 months we wen't a 2hr plane ride and THANK GOODNESS for 4 Square!! They had it on Air Canada flight as one of the options for kids shows and she literally sat in her seat and watched it the entire flight! Best thing ever, she has loved it since she was 6 months and continues to love it. We actually have noticed she can associate different animals just by us singing songs that we learnt off the show...If she is ever upset we just sing her the song from the Orange square (heppity heppity heppity hop!) and she calms right down. It is amazing.
Now onto the reason I've joined and am writing here. WHY one earth did they cut this great show out of the treehouse lineup??! It comes on in between shows for seconds and then it's over! What kind of tease is that?!! Im so disapointed that they made this decision, and i hope it has nothing to do with parents outlandish opinions about the blue spandex outfits (give me a break!) We actually ordered 2 dvd's from Amazon but it would be great to see this show back in a regular cyle.......until then I am happily following my fellow Hamiltonians and going to Zellers to get some more 4 Square!
