    1. Heart beat at 10 weeks, nothing at 12. So some time between then. US at 12 wks showed sac, no hb.

    2. hb at 10 wks. Bleeding started 11 weeks and continued . Went to ER. Hormones low, advised to relax( yeah! that was going to happen) as  US showed HB. Bleeding continued, hormones dropped and US at 13 wks showed no sac.

So was the US at 10 wks just a routine one or set up due to concerns?
I was told my OBY/GYN will contact me around 16 weeks for a scan, and not before.

The miscarriage was confirmed by 2 blood tests 48hrs apart checking for hormone levels. The 2nd test showed the hormone level going down.

The doc also told me to relax. All the symptoms I was having are normal during the first trimester - yeah normal for a miscarriage! (bleeding, cramping pains and clots!)

In 1 the US was because no hb at 12 wks.

In 2 US was at 11 wks due to low hormone and bleeding. The one at 13wks  was to check " completeness' of m/c.

I had blood tests every 2 days for about 12 days, basically the time between USs.

Was your doc male or female? I found the males the worst for "advice"!

Yes my doc is male. Apparently he is the only one taking patients in the area right now. I would have much prefered a lady doc, but no choice. He seemed very good innitially, but after this, Im not much impressed!

I am getting better slowly. Bleeding is still ongoing, altho much less now - its been 5 weeks now. I still get some pain sometimes, especially when i clean the kitchen floor! Generally have more energy now to get up and do things.

So not so bad now, thanks for asking :)

    Re: Update...

Had a D&C Op on Sunday. The bleeding was not stopping and the clots were rather huge! Luckily all went well.

The team of docs and nurses was really nice, and made me feel at ease. I also didnt have to wait too long, I went in at 11am, and by 1pm was in the OR. and conscious by 2pm! They almost forgot the consent form... but remembered at the last minute. :)

I also got asked the 'Are you Pregnant?' question. I just looked at her, and she nodded and moved on to the next one. Chuckled to myslef lol. I think the form is a standard form for any Gyne related surgical procedure, and not specific to a D&C precedure after a miscarriage. Altho its highly inappropriate, and perhaps they should look into that.

The anesthesia has lasted for 2 days, I almost fell over yesterday whilst moving around the house, but starting to wear off now... I couldnt even read yesterday, my head started to hurt!

Tomorrow I am going to be driving DD to school! DH has already taken 2 days off work. Help.....
