I too liked the other characters better!

I am pretty sure that the ones they are showing now are OLD episodes and NOT new ones. The beat team looks much younger and you can tell that they are still fairly new at what they do. Just listen when they sing the opening "ticka ticka ticka ticka tee tee ta" it is choppy and doesnt flow like before. As for the Poetry teller, Pey is actually on a short "inbetween show" on Omni and looks much different. I also noticed that Captain Hopette's team includes Bianca as did Captain Hop's team. Bianca looks much younger in Captain Hopettes show and has a mouth full of braces. Pay close attention next time it is on and I think you will agree that these are old shows. I do hope that they put the new ones back on soon though.

I am glad they have changed the showtime from 11:20 & 8:40 to 9:30 and 2:45 although it wasnt on this morning like it should have been. Maybe due to holidays.

As for getting it on DVD, it doesnt exist. I wrote trehouse and asked and they said not available. I have been recording it on the good old VCR for my daughter.

My two boys really loved the old Four Square, especially Captain Hop. We would all get up and do whatever Captain Hop, Bianca, Krankovitch, and Lutzu were doing. They really enjoyed Helen telling Dennis Lee stories and we bought several books from Dennis Lee because of Four Square. The new show with Captain Hepette holds no appeal or interest. Four Square the original was wonderful, why would they go and change it?

I know that Treehouse has a job to do, but ITA with all the other Moms and Dads on here that say the orginal cast was FAR better. Is there ANYWAY to bring them back?

Captain Hop was a HUGE favorite here, we all did the actions and LOVED him. Lutzu and Krankivitch (or Frankivitch?) were wonderful, we all danced to the actions and enjoyed it.

Dennis Lee books were a lot nicer, and I enjoyed Helen more and the girls that read the poems.

As for what I like, The Beat Team is the same and we always liked them.

My kids do NOT like Four Square anymore, and before we ALL used to watch, my youngest son (2) would RUN to the TV when he heard Helen or Captain Hop....now he looks confused and walks away when he sees the new characters. It's one of two shows that my 2 year old actually LIKED, and it's only a 15 minute show, so, yes, I am disappointed when it was completely changed. ITA with the others, I would rather have repeats of the old cast then this new show. Please, the kids and parents don't like it?

Please, Treehouse, you had a wonderful show with the orginal cast. I don't know if they demanded too much money or what, but especially Captain Hop and Helen - if you could bring those two back and keep the rest of the new cast, I think that would be far better. My husband said: "it's like they took it down a notch."

Tree Daisy - can you tell us what it would take to bring back the old cast with Captain Hop and Helen? I know you want to give the new show a chance, but I think the majority of parents and kids that enjoyed Four Square would like the old cast back.

I must agree, my 20 month old would stop anything she was doing for Four Square. I find it's not on enough and I am also disappointed with the new people. No one will ever replace Captain Hop! She also likes the beat team which is good they didn't let her down. Nice to see i'm not the only one with this opinion!

Neither of my children seem to have interest anymore. My daughter loved Helen, and she won't watch the poetry segment anymore.

I was upset that Capt. Hop was gone. But my son still loves the show. He didn't get to watch it much as it was on during his nap so maybe thats why he hasn't noticed the changes.

I have to ask, and, hopefully get an answer. Doesn't anyone notice the difference in the really skinny girl with toothpick legs that has light brown hair with the funky hat from the beat team? I swear it has to be her sister or someone that they found that looks similar to her. She has a chubbier face and her legs and stomache aren't so skinny. Her face looks different too. It looks like it would be a sister or even cousin or something. It sounds like noone has noticed the difference other than myself.

I agree, I miss Captain Hop. The Captain Hoppette just isn't the same. Glad to see the Beat Team is still there, they're a family favourite.

Bad decision to make these awful cast changes - Bring back Captain Hop - this was my son's favourite segment and now he just walks away from it - Captain Hop had presence and humour - Hoppette just doesn't have it.

Wow...so much passion over a children's show...

My daughter still likes it and watches it practically without blinking everytime it's on, whether it's the new or old cast.

She seems to like the Beat Team better now because they've slowed down some of their actions a little.

I too miss Captain Hup. But I feel a little sorry for Captain Hupette. Not only does she have a hard act to follow but people don't seem to be willing to give her much of a chance either. It kind of reminds me of the backlash when Star Trek creators decided to make the captain of Voyager a woman. I don't find Captain Hupette too bad a replacement, just different. In fact, I find the replacements for Krankovich and Loutzou much more lackluster. I think if some of the enthusiasm is missing from that segment it's over all and not just because of Captain Hupette.

I do kind of miss the deep male voice in the Four Tones (not to mention his great facial expressions), but the ladies are talented and hold their own just fine.

I like Pay in the poetry segment. It was one of my (and my daughter's) least favorite parts of the show anyway so it didn't make a difference who said the poems, one way or another.

Well I do like Pey. But I also liked Helen. But it really isn't the same with Captain Hopette. And the four tones are still wonderful singers but I really do think it was a little better when the 2 others where in it. Captain hop will be sorely missed.

I have 4 kids and they don't like to watch the show now. Captain Hop was funny and all the kids loved it, but now all of them stop watching while its on...as for the poetry teller..well she was on another channel as a commentary person and its hard for me personally to see her other than that. This used to be a great show, and i understand they want to update it, but they lost the greatness of the show by replacing so many people...

I know, they are changing alot of stuff on Treehouse. I miss Captain Hob and when i saw this tiny little woman in an overisized purple coat doing the poetry, i was thinking, "what the heck" . lol. I didn't have the chance to see the other colors though.

I am really disappointed about the new Four Square...my husband and i acutally argued about it ...I insisted that they were older episodes at first because their quality was so poor. I am disappointed about the new Captian Hup(ette) and team...the music that has been added seems like a last minute thought and the singing is terible - always off key...there are so many musicians out there im sure that you could have found four people who could carry a tune. and i misss the acents. the four tones are really missing a bass singer too - not to mention a male role model. being the mom of 2 boys (3 and 4 mths) know how important it is to have a strong male presence - it seems most shows are geared to girls now-a-days. Sorry Treehouse - dont mean to come down hard but this show is definately not improved

I like how the Beat Team has grown up a bit.

I am slowly getting used to Captain Hopette.
