I finally figured it out......Alyson was the first Lounette and Ramona the 2nd......they play reruns and then new ones so I got confused as to who was who....I in contrast to so many Love Ramona as Lounette.....I think she acts like a little girl clown......I am new to the couch...when I saw Alyson I thought she was new and did not like her as much as Ramona...My daughter loves both of them so that is what counts.

When someone said that Alyson Court is the person doing the voice for Nora on the episode Noisy Nora, I thought about it and I realized that Alyson Court does do the voice for Nora!

I don't like Allison Court as loonette. She talked and acted like an adult when she is suppose to be a little clown. Her attitude was a little too much to take.

Ramonna is okay and I'll give her time to adjust to the role.

We saw BCC at ontario place and that loonette is different than the show. The 100 kids watching her live didn't seem to notice or care she was a third different loonette. She did an awesome job for the 30 mintues she was on stage. She sang and jumped around the whole time. I was tired just watching her. I think if the kids don't notice it doesn't really matter.

I've always loved Alyson Court as Loonette, because she's always been the old favourite. When Ramona became the new Loonette, I didn't like her either, and stopped watching Big Comfy Couch with my babes (I'd just tidy instead).
~BUT~
I saw a new episode recently wth Ramona, and I have seen some major improvements! Her voice is changed, and she seems more upbeat than the earlier episodes when she first started. I hope Ramona is enjoying her new(ish) role, and that Alyson Court is having fun wherever she is too.

I like the new Loonette. When I started watching this recently with my son and reruns from previous years began to run I was disappointed with the old Loonette. She see gets on my nerves.

My first thought was that the "new" Loonette was actually the first one and that they decided to get Alyson Court after...but it seems she is the new replacement for Alyson Court and I find her terribly annoying. Her voice sounds ridiculous most of the time and her body language and attitude almost seems condescending to the kids.

I prefer Alyson Court so so sooooo much to this new Loonette!!!

We happen to love the new Loonette! I think she's great, and I find her to be very child-like.
My son (almost three) likes the new Loonette so much. He knows the difference between the two Loonettes. And he'll only watch the show if it's with the new Loonette. No disrespects to the old Loonette, we didn't really know her as well as many here have known her. Just my two cents!

I must admit it wasn't until I read this thread, I realised that something was slightly off in Big Comfy Couch.

However DS is not too concerned as he is not a fan of the programme .

My little guy (14 months) hasn't notice the change, he still dances to the songs and is glued to the screen for the show.

I was shocked when I saw the new Loonette, I had no idea a switcheroo was going on. I'm giving the new one a chance to grow on me... just like I did with the old Loonette (I hated that show until DS took a liking to it & I was forced to watch it, lol)

I think one of the problems with Ramona playing Loonette is that she did not have the advantage that Alyson had of starting the role as a young girl. Ramona is in her 30s as well as Alyson (she is only 2 or 3 years younger that her) and so she is on a steeper learning curve. We might just have to give her a chance.

The new Loonette is permanant.
I believe Alyson Court, was an amazing Loonette.

My daughters, dislike the new Loonette.
I enjoyed the old one, better.

i hadn't watched big comfy couch with the old Loonette, but i have to say this one is very whiny and seems to complain alot--who writes for this show. anyways the granny is just as bad. i dispise this show but somehow my daughter likes it.

i completely agree...i feel bad saying i don't like the new one....but her energy level is next to zero. allyson court was great as loonette, and she was also on cbc kids when my 7 year old was younger too.  my 18 month old still likes to watch it and  i find it kind of hard to sit through now.
