My 6 month old absolutely LOVES 4 square, especially the Move it team. Whenever or wherever he is (even on the change table) his head pops up and he starts kicking his legs in excited when he hears "oh my friends are you here?...." I've never really paid too much attention to their wardrobe, he enjoys the songs and the movement and it keeps him engaged.

To you, it may be offending.
Although, to kids between the ages of 1-8.
    It does not really matter.

See, I believe us, parents. See the "disgusting" part to it, but the little wee ones, do not. They don't know about puberty, and stuff.
I'm sure 4 Square will not be mentioning anything, wrong.
    So, indeed I disagree.

If you did your research you'd know that "The costumes the Corpus dancers wear are consistent with the National Ballet of Canada" Being a professional Ballet dancer myself I see nothing wrong or abnormal with the costumes. Would you deny your child the privilege of going to see the Nutcracker or Swan Lake because certain body parts are unintentionally emphasized? The reason the costumed in 4 Square are the way they are is so that children can see precisely what the dancers are doing. There's no baggy clothing getting in the way.

What's so wrong with learning about human anatomy? There's nothing wrong or immoral with the human body. Sounds to me that you have some self image issues or maybe you're complaining just to be a nag. Regardless If you have a problem with children learning about their bodies then take your kids out of school before they reach sex ed.

I fully support 4 Square and think the creators are doing a great job!

I totally agree. My dd loves this show and is way too young to even concern herself with what's protruding and what isn't...It's not the guys aren't wearing cups...it's not like you can see the exact shape of it, flopping around or anything.
I personally love this show, and it promotes a lot of great things!
I'll agree the clothes on that show isn't all that stylish, but offensive??? I don't think so.

I actually joined this forum specifically to address this by saying this thread is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.
I'd like to reiterate what a lot of other have said; this show makes my daughter happy,
I'm glad to see that the majority of us are in agreement that this show is enjoyable and there is nothing wrong with it.

    you know, just a thought.

HI THERE, MY 14 MONTH OLD IS ALSO A HUGE FAN OF 4 SQUARE.  ACTUALLY, 4 SQUARE AND IN THE NIGHT GARDEN ARE THE ONLY TWO SHOWS THAT HE WILL ACTUALLY SIT AND WATCH.  I FOUND ONE 4 SQUARE DVD CALLED "MOVING WITH 4 SQUARE" AT SCHOLAR'S CHOICE.  THE ONLY STORE I KNOW OF IS ACROSS FROM SHERWAY GARDENS IN TORONTO.  THEY MUST HAVE A WEBSITE THOUGH WITH A STORE LOCATOR.  TREEHOUSE HAS BEEN ADVERTISING A NEW 4 SQUARE DVDV CALLED SINGING WITH 4 SQUARE, BUT I HAVEN'Y FOUND IT YET.  HOPE THIS HELPS!

I have a 13 month old daughter and she loves the show. That is the only show she will sit down to and watch the whole thing.I don't see anything wrong with the outfits.

i see nothing wrong with the outfits on this show. i can't believe someone could be insulted by a costume that is not at all revealing.  my daughter loves this show and it is one of the few shows catered to children of her age i would be upset if it was taken of the air to appease someone who is a little oversensitive to Lycra

i have to agree with you. the show is enjoyable and it is one of the few shows directed at kids in my daughters age group. i see nothing offensive about tier costumes at all

I'd also have to agree with the majority here in saying that this show is excellent! My son finds it immensely entertaining as do I. I think it is beyond creative and not like any other interactive child's program and i think that was the goal of the "4 squares" show. i think if anyone takes offense (mainly the adults in this case) or is disgusted by the characters appearance are no doubt immature and not thinking "outside the box" and not expanding their creative horizons!!!!
