Scared Of Having A Bath., 2 1/2 year old won't take a bath!

My 2 1/2 year old DD has suddenly decided that she is scared of having a bath. Despite our best efforts to reassure her that nothing will happen and that Mommy or Daddy will be right there with her, she won't get in. She hasn't had a bath for almost 2 weeks! Nothing scary happened the last time she had a bath--she didn't slip or fall or anything. We didn't change her soap or bubblebath or towel or anything. She's always liked baths before. I don't want to force her in in case I make things worse.

Is she in a big bath or still in the baby bath?

I can't get my 3 yr old into the big bath though he is happy in the baby bath. I just wash him down and then wash his hair. Pour water to rinse and he's done.

However I would love to get him into the big bath like the girls, it would be so much easier!

Dd is scared of baths, she is afraid she will go down the drain. Last time she had a bath she got shampoo in her eyes. I wiped her eyes out, but she still is scared I have bought her some new bath toy. I have also told her she cannot go down the drain, but nothing seems to work.

Thankfully my daughter isn't afraid of the bathtub or water, she just hates having her hair washed as water gets in her face. I try to do it as quickly as possible and even bought one of those hand held shower heads so I can get it close to her and have it done within seconds. Even to wash her face with a damp cloth, she squeals, kicks, and absolutely crazy. Not sure why she does this, nothing has ever happened to her in the water before. She used love dunking her head in the water. Any suggestions would be great !

How do I say this without offending anyone, little girls can become irritated from bubble bath ,the chemicals may even cause bladder infections or irritations ,I know this because the same thing happened with my daughter, she now no longer uses bubble bath  and has fun toys and tub crayons in the tub she now asks to have baths.,just my opinion but it worked for us

We've had to stop bubble baths due to DD2 having allergic reactions and we haven't yet found the cause.

DS saw the girls in the big big bath( the whirlpool one in our on-suite) and the next thing I knew he was undressed and in there with them.

All his fears gone except I still had problems washing his hair!

Dd has no fears of the bath anymore, we bought her some new bath toys and she loves playing with them. Now when it's bathtime she doesn't want to come out.

Nothing really to do with any of the shows he watches. It's more a hair washing issue.

He thinks that everytime he goes in the bath. I'm going to wash his hair.

Well, we've had another major break-through. I can now use the shower on his hair. He still cries but he does sit still and let me wash his hair.
