Dissapointed with new shows and times

I am very diaapointed with the new shows, and taking over other GOOD shows!  The new shows are kinda creepy if you ask me and my kids will not be watching them.  We are VERY dissapointed that there is NO MORE DORA during the week!  My kids looked forward to Dora everyday and learnt alot from the show!  We are dissapointed at the new Diego show time as well.  My kids looked forward to Diego at 11am's each morning!  They are so sad now that have to miss it!  As well as Blue's Room and other great shows!  It's too bad such a good thing has been taken away!

I agree! Some of the shows in the line-up are so rediculous! Yo Gabba Gabba is awful! They must have had a change of heart and figure pre-schoolers no longer have brains. I am so displeased! Treehouse is know longer our first option when it comes to our "Its TV time" part of the day:( Maybe they will consider opinions of viewers when they re-schedule again. I am SO dissapointed!

I am also very displeased with the new shows and agree that a lot of them are just weird and creepy, when my 5, 3, and 2 year olds all noticed and said they were weird themselves we chose other cartoons on another station to watch.  I felt really bad about that too, because tree house has always been a channel you could put on and not have to worry about what was on or weather or not its appropriate.  I'm a stay at home mother that often sits down with my children to have TV time, and I have always enjoyed the shows along with my children, it has not been that way this past week, which is sad.  I hope Tree House will take into consideration the opinions of the mothers and fathers of the children who watch their channel and consider doing something about it.

I have to agree whole heartedly with both comments addressing the new Treehouse line up. I am very disappointed with the new programming as my 2-1/2 year old daughter absolutely loved the old schedule; now everything is all over the place. The shows were very educational and interesting; they were interactive with the children. Replacing these shows with the new ones was a step in the wrong direction. Children have nothing to learn from shows where they don't even speak, they just make whiny noises (wee wee, woo woo). The particular show I am referring to entaled these odd looking "TeleTubby" shaped characters bouncing around with absolutely no direction. What exactly will this teach these young, very impressionable minds????? It was so bad, my husband and I turned the channel.
I hope you will consider the valuable opinions of your viewers when you make future changes to your programming.

I am also very disappointed with Treehouse and the new changes.
Monday was a very hard morning. My 2 1/2 yr old was expecting to have her usual 9 am backyardigans and suprise they are no longer then, it is replaced with My friend rabbit, which she did not like at all. Then she usually watches Diego as I make lunch, surprise that is no longer on then either,  then to top off our day/night her usual shows have been pushed back and hour so at night so she didn't get to watch them. This happened about 6 months ago too, but it still had shows that she liked on.  My daughter also loved Blue's Clues and Blue's room but is is rarely on when we have a moment to watch. Blue's, Dora, Diego all taught her so much, from sign language to Spanish and sharing, problem solving and using your imagination. They are all great shows that we miss alot.

For the new evening shows my daughter actually turned off the tv, because she does not like them at all. She turns off Fifi and the flower tots and In the night garden.  I do not like the "telly tubby" like characters, they don't seem to talk proper, just make noises and don't really seem to teach the children anything.

I guess some people do not understand how routine oriented children can be. Mine has set tv times and expects certain shows as it is the routine.
For now we have started back with our collection of her favourite 20-30 min dvd shows and the Rogers on Demand kids shows.

I too am extremely disappointed with your new lineup.  My daughters 4 and 2 enjoy watching educational tv shows that promoted good language skills.  My 2 yr old daughter learned the word "distinguished" from her favourite show little bear and used it correctly in a sentence and even pronounced it perfectly.  Now we have shows that don't even talk and make funny noises.  The timing of these shows are also terrible.  I hope they bring back the good old fashion shows that encourged good imagination skills.

I am so very dissapointed in the new schedule and shows!  Every night my kids (2.5 yr. & 15 months) watch TV while having their milk.  They loved the previous lineup.  Little Bear has a wonderful calming effect on my kids, which is really nice right before bed.  Now we watch an extremely silly show, it's like teletubbies, at that time.  This show in no way encourages language development!  And the Wiggles, I'm sorry to the people how actually like this show, I gets on my nerves, and is much to "exciting" for my kids right before bed.  We used to enjoy Franklin, which has taught my 2.5 yr old good life lessons, and Little Bear, which is just pleasant.  I really hope Treehouse changes back to the old schedule, because, in my house, we have no other child friendly TV options, and this is the very little TV my children get to watch.

Ya, what is up with all these stupid teletubby like shows now?  They are so pointless and creepy.  We do not let our kids watch them!

I too am quite disappointed with the schedule change. My daughter loves Dora and moving it to Sunday only-what were they thinking????
And putting the Wiggles in the evening, when its wind down time??? And some of these new shoes look like they were pulled from the reject pile
Go Gabba Gabba is just plain strange! my daughter took one look and walked away! I can understand wanting to introduce new shows but please keep
in mind, we who have children home all day are quite upset because they know what time their fav show  WAS ON but now they have to adjust to all these new shows and missing
their favourites because THEY ARE EITHER NOT ON WHEN THEY ARE AWAKE OR THEY ARE ON THE WEEKENDS!!! Thanks Treehouse, for making my toddler's life miseble!@

At our house, we too, are very disappointed in the new shows.  We are wondering why Treehouse would decide to take quality, school-aged children's shows out of prime school aged children's viewing time (i.e. they can enjoy a good show like Franklin or Miss Spider while eating a bowl of cereal before bedtime...), and replace them with preschool aged, nonsense shows, with very little story line or dialogue (one of them is very tele-tubbie-esque...creepy and a waste of limited TV time)?  Furthermore, quality shows like Franklin or Miss Spider have been moved to time slots that are too late for (our) school-aged children to watch.  I don't know much about TV programming, but am curious to know what thoughts go into show selection or scheduling.  Someone didn't put much thought into this schedule or selection.

I agree. My daughter loves Dora. It has taught her alot and I even picked up some spanish! We miss the old lineup. The new shows are creepy and we will not be watching them.

We generally watch between 7 and 8 p.m. and we want to watch Diego and Franklin. We like the Wonder Pets and the Mole Sisters, but the new shows are not very good and not age appropriate (too babyish) for that time slot. Ni-ho Kailan is basically Chinese Dora, but not nearly as good and it is the best of the new shows. Go back to the previous schedule.

I aswell am very disappointed with the new line up. And I agree those new shoes are CREEPY. that IN THE NIGHT GARDEN or whatever it's called. IS eerily similar to those teletubies that everyone hates! My daughter is so in love with little bear, and he used to come on right before her bedtime, now he's not on until nine. She can't stay up that late just to watch a show. And  I realize that TV should not rule her life. It  doesn't, but all kids have their favourites, and if you ask me, which I realize that no one did, this new line up should be removed and put back the way it was. And those creepy shows taken OFF the air permanently. Or Perhaps moved to a different time slot . . . say 2am?

I am in agreeance with everyone else about the new schedule - it's awful.  My son use to watch Go Diego Go everynight at 7pm - that was hos routine before we started to get ready for bed.  What a disappointment when we tuned in Monday and it was some ridiculous show that couldn't keep his attention.  He just walked away and then again it happened on Tuesday.  So we haven't been watching Treehouse very much anymore.  Our TV time is usually at night but none of these shows are really appealing to him - some are to babyish for him in my opinion.   It is a shame as someone else mentionned because we too could put on Treehouse with no worries about what he was watching. I'll guess we'll have to find a new station and go pick-up some Diego and Dora DVD's for TV time.
