Re: Dissapointed with new shows and times

I am welcomed to change and giving new things a try, but that's very hard to explain to a toddler.

It's nice to see new shows, but not at the expense of some of the most popular ones.  Dora is a top show both sides of the border, and they moved it to Sunday only?  That is my biggest complaint.  We could get accustomed to it being on every day at a different time, but that's not even the case here.  Instead it's on one day a week, when we are at Sunday mass.

I agree with everything else I have read all over the boards about hyper-active shows being on at bed time, and shows that barely have a vocabulary not being educational.

I honestly don't see anything being reinstated as the program directors at TreeHouse roll their eyes and tell one another that we will all get over it.

Oh my god I just watched "Go Gabba Gabba" with my kids.  It will be the last time.  I swear that I could almost see my children's intellect dropping. Why would they replace quality programming with crap like this?  I've noticed that a lot of the new shows are failing to stimulate my kids.

P.S.    Any parents that like Dora and or Diego you should check out "Bo On The Go" on kids CBC

My favorite new show, and my daughter loves it is My Friend Rabbit.  But for the rest, my daughter (20 months) is not interested, and who thought of putting The Wiggles on before they go to bed?  Come on, this is their down time!  The telli tubbies look-alikes freak me out, Yo Gabba Gabba is just plain weird, I don't know what In The Night Garden is about, creepy.  The new ones actually seem silly and babyish, except My Friend Rabbit.  You are going to lose viewers if this doesn't change....

I have to agree, these new shows are awful.  I have a 3 & 1 year old.  I just turn off the tv or find Dora somewhere else.  I sent them a note using that "contact us" button at the bottom of the page.  Seemed to go through.  We really miss Dora, Max, Timothy and Blue.  Preschoolers really like consistency and repetition.  These were intelligent shows that my kids could get into.  Might be the best thing in the world to shut the tv off anyways.  Really miss and appreciated the shows they have taken off.

I am also dissappointed with the newer shows on the station....the ones where the characters say few words and make odd noises are only confusing to my 2.5 yo son and almost 4yo daughter..when Wonder Pets came on my then almost 3yo started to backtrack her language and talk like the chick (Lingling?), I'm going to have to start checking the scheduling so that we can figure out what to watch when...this is so dissappointing when the kids loved the old shows so much....My Friend Rabbit seems to be a fun show for them as they teach the kids to use their heads and look for answers...but the other shows are of no interest to them and they just walk away from it...I don't know....maybe they're aiming it at a younger audience? :)

even if they are aiming at a younger audience, I don't approve... I have a 3 1/2 year old and a 1 year old... I would not let either of them watch some of the newer shows ex. In the night garden.  horrible.. I am  trying to teach my kids words not jibberish

I couldn't agree more.  My Daughter is so sad she can't see her Dora show at 2:30.  We would often sit and watch it together before we had to go pick up her siblings from school.  She has no intrest in the new shows and just shuts off the T.V.  I guess thats O.K. She finds other things to do anyway.  Treehouse T.V. is going to loose a lot of viewers thats for sure!

I also agree, my 3 year old, who normally speaks fine, watched "In the Night Garden" and was walking around for next 2 days saying "oopsie daisy" and a lot of other gibberish, I was not thrilled. His 2 year old brother then started it too, and we're just getting him to start talking clearly, my husband and I were a little annoyed, they will NOT be watching that show again, or that "Yo Gabba Gabba" which is just simply weird!  I really hope the exc. are taking great consideration in our complaints!

Annoyed with new shows and times

I am really disappointed with the new shows.  It is to bad because we have really enjoyed Treehouse over the last couple years.  Now I find myself turning the channel and trying to find something else for my child to watch.  The shows are actually really creepy both my husband and I are freaked out and my child says to us mommy and daddy "I don't like these shows."

FYI "Oops-a-daisy" is a common English( British) expression.
I used to be such a sweet sweet thing
Till they gotta hold of me.

I also have to agree that the new shows aren't suitable for anyone of any age. My 19 month old daughter has no interest in the new shows, especially "Yo Gabba Gabba", she turns off the TV like she does whenever she shes teletubbies on the screen. For the first few days (almost a week) I had a hard time getting her to go bed cause she was used to sitting down with me and watching Dora. I feel that Dora was an educational, colorful and interesting show. My duaghter even learned a few spanish words (including myself at that). It's a shame that something so educational is being replaced with foolish nonsense that is a bit on the creepy side, and that by the looks of it, not many children are liking. I am constantly trying to find other suitable educational shows my daughter watch. Any ideas on other shows that may interest my daughter ?

WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED AS WELL AND THE OTHER THING TOO IS THAT THEY HAVE REMOVED LAND BEFORE TIME.  WE ALL USED TO LOOK FORWARD TO THAT ON SATURDAY MORNING AT 8AM.  REALLY THE NEW SCHEDULE NEEDS TO BE WORKED ON AND REDONE.  THEY REALLY DIDN'T THINK OF IT ENOUGH.  SO SORRY THIS HAS HAPPENED, HOPEFULLY THEY WILL CHANGE IT SOON.

The new line up is terrible.  Why would Dora be moved from everyday at 4:30 to Sunday mornings only?  In The Night Garden is awful, the worst kids show I have seen to date.  We are now either watching DVDs or TVO as their programming is currently much better.  I hope Treehouse smartens up and brings back Dora to a regular weekday lineup soon.

lol.. I totaly agree. I was kinda looking forward to the new shows untill I sat down and watched one. The midnight garden, or whatever it is, is plain and simply retarded. My daughter loves her treehouse shows and lately since the new line up has come into play, she can't be bothered to even see what's on anymore. What is a mecka pecka anyways....lol We want our children to learn something...

I completely agree with everyone's comments. I'm not a fan of ANY of the new shows and "Yo Gabba Gabba" is completely ridiculous not to mention incredibly annoying. You might as well at the brain numbing Teletubbies to your lineup!

Did anyone consider asking parents for their input on lineup changes. I agree it's great to mix things up a little now and then, but when you're messing with a toddler's favorite shows that they look forward to everyday....you're just breaking a lot of little hearts.
