Hi, I made a petition for voices to be heard, please spread the word and sign!!
Petition for what?? To stop world hunger? End terrorism?.... what exactly are you hoping to achieve? I am absolutely amazed that you have to start a petition to bring back an animated character that doesnt even exist! How strange that it has come to that? SO Dora isnt on EVERY day, but what difference does that make in the big scheme of things? Is it the end of the world? If it really is the end of the world for you and your little one, then I suggest you sit down and take a long hard look at things. Is your child's happiness really measured by a fictional character?
RANDOM POSTER:
Life as we know it has been changed for the worst. My daughter is very upset that Dora is not on in it's normal time slot. She used to know exactly when Dora should be coming on and would come tell me, She isn't even 2 yet.
"She isnt even 2 yet"! Yet the TV is ruling her. And changed for the worst? Really? Take a look at whats happening around the world today and work out how much worse off your life really is compared to others.
Is the best argument for Dora the fact that your children need to watch this program during your cooking time? Is there nothing else your child can do? What would all these parents have done a 100yrs ago? No TV, and certainly no loud mouthed animated explorer. Dont get me wrong, Dora is an absolute fav of DD's, but it absolutely does not rule her life or mine. Last weekend she discovered that Dora was still on TV, and was overjoyed. I have known for the last 2 months when Dora's on, but never felt the need to tell her as I did not think that if she didnt get her weekly dose of Dora life will fall apart. When the TV is off, it stays off regardless of what shows are on, even if it means she misses her fav ones.
We are very lucky to live a relatively peaceful life and have access to such luxuries as the TV and internet etc, but to let these things rule us is absurd. There are many children in the world today who do not have acces to a TV or numerous toys like our children do - the thing that their parents are most worried about is where the next meal is coming from, not why a TV station has changed their schedule.
Put things in perspective and look at the bigger picture...
