    In the Night Garden lover

I may be in the minority but my little one loves this show.  Who cares if an adult finds it annoying or un-educational - so was Bugs Bunny.  I do not understand all the upset.  Personally I dislike the whole Dora thing and think it is a large cash grab including Dora cereal.  Besides she shouts too much.  Change happens everywhere - if children are not dependant on tv then it shouldn't be that big of a deal.  Little Bear used to be on before bed no it isnt - she is ok with that.

    Hi there,

My son absolutely LOVES! this show and it has been a huge help for me too.  My son is 3 and has been giving me a hard time about going to bed, but now that In The Night Garden is on right before his bedtime at 8pm...it is easy.  As soon as Iggle Piggle goes to bed and the announcer says, "Oh no, what's this, someone is not in bed!" My son says..."Mommy iggle Piggle is not in bed and neither is Brandon"  and off he goes to bed.  It seems like a silly short term solution but for now it is working and it is great.  I love the show and Makka Pakka is his favorite.  And by the way, since when have kids show's made sense, like an oversized singing dinosaur....or 4 grown men/women dancing around in skin tight unitards on 4 Square....roll with the punches people if it makes your kids happy go with it!

We watch the show, sometimes. To me. if I like a show the kids like, then it's a bonus.

Certainly a lot of programmes I watched as a child were not educational, just entertainment.

To me tv is as much a resource as my garden, the craft supplies ,books and toys. We use each of them at different times.
I used to be such a sweet sweet thing

I really dig In the Night Garden.

It has a fun, surreal quality to it.

Plus, it gets the little one to fall asleep, just like the Tombliboos.

I'm beginning to like In the Night Garden. I also like Teletubbies and Boobah.

I like one episode when ekka pekka visits the Tombliboos.

    Hi!

Just wanted to check in and lend my support to fellow ITNG lovers!  My daughters absolutely adore this program.  I'm still a little mystified that some parents are soooo against this program.  Although the sole purpose of this show is to calm children down as part of their bedtime routine, there is always a small element of learning in each episode - whether it is stacking blocks and counting, showing the difference between loud and quiet/near and far/high and low, or helping a friend find their lost blanket, etc.

It is a lovely and amazing program.  I was happily surprised when one of my sitters mentioned that ITNG seemed to be the most popular show for the four and under crowd at the moment.

Thank you Treehouse for airing it despite some controversy.  We had been waiting a while as my brother and sister-in-law had been desperately trying to find a dvd that we could watch here in Canada (he is in the UK) and his little guy loves it as well. We were thrilled to see it in the new line up.

    Thanks again!

My son and I love In the Night Garden.  It's very fresh and imaginative.  I'd love to purchase the DVD's when they become available.

The show has to be popular, otherwise there wouldn't be the massive merchandising display at the toy store.

It certainly seems to be building support now, and is hugely successful in its home country :)

My oldest son also loves this show (he is 3). I don't see what the big deal is...I have heard some complain about the "nonsense" words, but isn't that one of the show's endearing qualities? Dr Seuss books feature made up words too. Oh well, some people will always find reasons to get upset.

I have not seen one problem yet with this show. I agree. Dr. Seuss books are very similar.  People are entitled to their own opinion...but please do not take this show off the air. My son loves it and he is two.

For the longest time I thought that Foxes lived in boxes and beetles did battle with paddles in a bottle on top of a poodle eating noodles.
