    A boy's first hair-cut. Advice please.

DS is 3 and a half. He was very fine white-blond hair. It used to be very short but suddenly it's grown. He's now getting mistaken for a girl. So I'm planning on getting his hair-cut.

There is no way I could cut it myself. He would certainly end up with it all different lengths or missing an ear.

What's the best way of getting his hair cut? There are no specialist children's hair-dressers with-in  a 90 minute drive.

I used to be such a sweet sweet thing
Till they gotta hold of me.

I took dd to a regular hair-dresser, the first time dd went to get her hair cut. I asked them if they cut children's hair and they did. They did an awesome job, they were very patient with her(she moved her head around alot). Sorry not sure I helped any.

    Hello,
I went to a few different places in town including the chain stores (SuperCuts, MagicCuts) and spoke with the folks working there to get a sense of thier personality.  I didn't outright ask if they cut kids hair becasue all of the ones I went to will.  Once I found someone who had a nice personality and seemed gentle, I booked my son in for them.  Kind of a mini interview!! :)

I always cut DDs hair myself, and getting quite good at it now lol. I just cut her hair last week into a bob....suits her. :)

I dont think she will take well to anyone else touching her hair, so its more out of necessity than choice, but it works for us.

Goodluck in finding a hairdresser, altho I amsure most places will cut childrens hair as well as adults.

I was talking to one of his teacher today. And he had asked her if she could cut his hair.

She asked me when Iwent to pick him up if I wanted her too . So I said yes as she is an ex-hair-dresser.

Fantastic! Wonder if DD's new school teacher has any experience in that field! DD starts school next week. She is looking forward to it, and has got her backpack ready! Hope there are no tears this time, last year when she started Nursery in the UK at 3yrs of age, it took as a 2/3 weeks to settle down, and the tears to stop.

(Wondering if hair-dressing is more stressful than teaching)
