    Anyone remember this show....Pirates

I have a big age gap between my kids - one is 9 and the other is 3.  Anyway, my husband and I were just talking about a show called "Pirates" that used to be on Treehouse.  I remember that it was filmed in Halifax and the theme song went like this:

We have been watching Treehouse for a long time, I cannot remember a show called Pirates.

Me neither, I've been watching for 8 yrs now.

Try googling the theme song as you know it. It may give some clues.

I sure do remember the pirates.  I was thinking about it recently and asked my 11 year old but he couldn't remember it.  I can't seem to find anything about it on the internet.  I'm glad someone else remembers it.  I remember it was real people in costumes and there was an evil queen.

Honey, 6 years between kids is not a big age gap. Try 14 years, like me :) Anyways, yes I do remember this show! I remember that I first saw it shortly after seeing the "Puffy Shirt" episode of Seinfeld, which set off an obsession with pirates for me. My daughter and I used to watch it. When an exciting part came on, we would say either AAAAARRRRRRRRRR, or But I don't wanna be a pirate! She's 19 now, but would be so happy if treehouse ran this again, because of the pleasent memories. Thank you so much for that pleasueable trip down memory lane :D
It stinks! It stinks! It stinks!

    Yes, Mr. Sherman, everything stinks.

This was on TreeHouse when my little sister was a preschooler, it was a family favourite! This is what I can remember of the intro lyrics:
Oh it's great to be a pirate, free,
    Sailing the ocean blue!
On a pirate ship with Captain Kidd,
No rules, no naps, no shoes,
No rules, no naps, no shoes.

There's Emma Sophia, and good old Tink,
    And our two lookout crows;
First mate Fig, and a faithful pig,
We'll go where the free wind blows,
    Wherever the free wind blows.

    So, heave to me hearties,
    And hoist that scurvy sail!
We'll sing and play through the live long day,
    With a yo-ho-ho and a hey-hey-hey
And a friendly flying whale. A friendly flying whale!
I think there's another verse and chorus to end the song, but I can't remember what they are. Would be great if there were DVDs available!
