    dora the explorer

I have an announcement to make. I don't know all the details but I heard that this show will be gone.  I'll find out if this is true or not.

There was a big fuss a couple of months ago when It was announced that Dora was going to grow up a bit. Compete with denucations of them over-sexing Dora by changing her outfit.

    Was that what you heard??

Part of it, I heard that there are two companies. One of them wants the show off the air for some reason and the other company wants them on. That's all I know.

I've found reports from December 2008, where Time Warner were pulling some channels due to the rising fees  that Viacom ( parent company of Nickelodeon, who produce DTE) want

Score one for Viacom in the public relations battle that has broken out over Time Warner Cable’s alleged refusal to pay more for carrying Viacom channels including Nickelodeon and Noggin. I’ve scanned in a picture from an unforgettable ad that ran in today’s New York Times using insipid kiddie cartoon character Dora the Explorer to demonize Time Warner. “TIME WARNER CABLE IS TAKING DORA OFF THE AIR TONIGHT! Along with 19 of your favorite channels!

We are no longer DTE fans. DS never was and the girls have out-grown her.
