Neon1Rainbow1Gurl:
I am disapointed with all the changes that have been made with the shows lately for example:
1. The wiggles has a new pirate.
Paul Paddick has beeen playing Capt Feathersword since 1993.
However Sam Moran has taken over as the Yellow Wiggle following the retirement of Greg Page due to ill health.
2. Sesame street is now sesame park?
NO
Sesame Park was a Canadian version of sesame street running until 2002
3. The cookie monster is now the veggtable monster.
Again, no.
The Cookie Monster remains the Cookie Monster, he just eats a wider range of healthy food including vegetables
4. mr. noodles on Elmo's World isn't the same person he has different hair and everything.
There are 2 Mr Noodles.Mr Noodle played by [ url= http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Irwin]Bill Irwin and Mr Noodle's bother , Mr Noodle played by . They have appeared seperately and together.
I know you are doing this for our kids but it was great when we were kids wasn't it plus you didnt change it then so why change it now?
As these shows are not produced by Treehouse, Treehouse has no say in changes of cast or direction of these shows.
People leave for many reasons, ill-health, death , other commitents or a desire not to be type cast as a children's entertainer. Plus , they are getting older . There are very few shows that can cope with a visibly aging host.
To be honest the shows I watched as a pre-school child, nearly 40 years ago, were no great shakes. The shows I watched when I was watching my sisters children in the late 1980's and early 90's weren't that good either to an adult.
The point is these are classics and you can't go change elvis's music or change the movie grease can you?
Sincerily, Neon1Rainbow1Gurl
Classics??? Maybe, may be not.. I don't think they are better than many of the other shows out there.
Elvis's music is still be re-interperted by younger musicinas. The 2 remaining Beatles have re-mastered one of thier albums to thier orginal vision.
Grease as a stage show is re-visioned every time it is put on. Keeping these things static leaves them like paintings. NIce to look at but void of any new meaning.
Change keeps things fresh and avoids at the repeats that you get with shows like The Bernstain Bears or Little Bear where my kids mouth the dialogue along with the characters as they know the episodes far too well.
