Toy Castle won a 2003 Gemini Award for Best Preschool Program or Series.
The narrator of the show, Rick Jones, is also a writer on the show. He is also an actor with credits such as the voice of Fu-Fu on the TV series Sagwa (2001), Keisha's father in Kindergarten Cop (1990) and the voice of Richard M. Dumont in the Video Game Splinter Cell written by Tom Clancy.
